Everest Three passes Trek is one of the most popular destination to do the trekking among the trekking routes in Everest region. The ultimate trekking experience in the Everest region and going beyond the classic Everest Base camp trekking route, Everest Three passes trek is well known.

Everest Three Pass trekking is the best option for adventures trekkers who is interested to do high pass trekking in Everst region. To complete this trail it takes at least 18 days. It can be extend few more days if they deserve rest days in some places. In this trekking they get an opportunity to cross three high passes of Everest region. They are Renjola pass (5435), Chola pass (5420m) and Kongma-la Pass(5535m). This trekking offers natural grandeurs of world’s high altitude places with magnificent views of towering mountains. As the trekking trail goes via Sherpa villages, the trekkers can also observe the authentic life style of mountain people. Like other trekking of Everest region this trekking also start from Lukla after 35 minutes mountain flight from Kathmandu. In the early days it follows the route leads to Namche Bazaar, the main junction of all Everest trekkers.

This infamous trekking route takes us to the Everest Base Camp, Everest View Hotel, Kalapatthar, Gokyo Lake, Gokyo Ri and various Sherpa villages while crossing three high passes in the Himalayas i.e Renjo-la (5388m), Cho- la pass (5380m) and Kongma-la pass (5535m).
Similar to other Everest Base Camp trails, Everest three passes trek starts with sightseeing in Kathmandu valley famous for its rich culture, tradition and monarchical history, restaurants and temples. Then, a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla begins the trek formally. Trek from Lukla to Phakding and then to Namche , the bazaar of inborn mountaineers (Sherpa) with scenery of changing landscape, Monasteries, and ever smiling Himalayas provides you the glimpse of more fascinating views and adventure still to encounter.

Parting ways with the main Everest trail, we head to Thame and then to Nangpa valley. We cross one of the high passes Renjo- la to make our way to Gokyo lake. Then we climb up Gokyo Ri that provides spectacular view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Cho- oyo. We then head towards Kalapatthar for an up close view of Mt. Everest after crossing high cho-la pass. Then, we descend to Lobuche before crossing the Kangma-la pass and reaching Chukung. Following the route from Marlung to Nangpa la and then to thame, we reach the classic Everest base camp trail. We then trek back to Namche and finally to Lukla from where we head back to Kathmandu and complete the circuit.
Everest Three passes trek is a tougher trek and suitable for those who have past trekking experiences in similar climate. It is 18 days trek.
