By the grace of the Almighty, human beings have got the power of brain, which tells them about what path to follow in terms of cleansing their body. The power resides with the animals too, but when you have to give them the title of pet, it becomes all the more important to be careful about their sanitization.

Cleaning eyes of a cat:

The shiniest part in a cat’s body is its eye and in the words of a veterinarian, the eyes of a cat are subjected to many diseases like cataract, conjunctivitis, watery eyes, glaucoma, bulging eyes and retinal diseases etc. Therefore, it is all the more important to take care of this part of the body. Here are some simple tips to it:

  • Take your cat to a well lit up area and gently, with the help of your thumb, roll down its eyelids to observe if they are in a healthy condition.
  • Take a clean cotton ball and wet it with lukewarm water. Gently clean the eyes of the cat starting from the corner.
  • Wipe out any solid particles lying outside the eyes and also clean the water marks.
  • If you find any problem that you can’t recognize, immediately consult your doctor. Eyes are a sensitive part and must be taken care of with proper affection.

Cleaning ears of a cat:

A cat may be able to hear the slightest noise of the mice that might have entered your house. In the same manner these are susceptible to a hoard of problems such as loss of balance, head tilting, sensitivity, hearing loss, bleeding etc. Therefore, these sonar detectors have to be suitably sanitized to do away with wax, dirt and infection. Cleaning nails and paws of a cat:

A cat needs healthy paws and nails as they perform variety of tasks such as scratching, climbing or silently landing. With the proper care tips stated here, these could remain healthy and athletic:

  • Check the paw of your pet to find any cuts, bruises, splinters or swells that might have occurred. Carefully wash these with clean water mixed with prescribed antiseptic liquid. If the wounds are severe, take the cat immediately to a veterinarian lest it would have an infection.
  • If the nails are long, cut them with prescribed clippers taking care of the nerves that run into them.
  • Wash the paws and nails with water and soap regularly so as to have clean feet.
  • Cut any extra hair that are present near the paws and might interfere in the walking process.
